Wondering if anterior placentas make you have a smaller bump? My first pregnancy my belly was huge at this point (baby was only 7 pounds 3 oz). This pregnancy I have an anterior placenta, normal size baby, but my bump is way smaller than before. And way smaller than others who are as far along as me. My bump is sort of flat instead of pointed out like others.

Im wondering this too! This is my first and I also have an anterior placenta, but I have a thousand people telling me they cant believe Im as far along as I am because Im so small? The baby has been measuring great and ahead of schedule at all her scans....

you still got plenty of time for that bump to grow! i have an anterior placenta but measuring spot on!

I had an anterior placenta with both pregnancies and was huge the first time and even bigger this time.

Interesting! My placenta is anterior and my bump is very low and hasn't rounded out at the top at all...I look quite square/flat from the front!

No way, I'm gigantic! Way bigger this time with anterior than last time I had posterior. It is kind of square ish looking around my belly button though.

You must just be a petit person! I am petit too but not pregnant.. I swell up like a hot air ballon lol

I'm definately not petite. I was 15 pounds overweight before I got pregnant with this baby. Same thing last pregnancy.

Iv had anterior placenta with all three babies, was massive (think whale) with my first, tiny with my second and slightly small with my third xx

Anterior both times and both times I was late to show, so I think that and my stomach muscles helped to hide it. My bumps have been totally different though, so I think the size of the bump probably has more to do with the amount of water and baby's positioning tbh.

Same thing with me. I had an anterior placenta and my bump was flat and small. My baby was 8 pounds.

Mine is anterior and I've nothing to compare it to but even though bump is measuring 2-3 weeks ahead people keep telling me I look very 'neat'. I also had a very round bump until it dropped. Not sure if that helps but I wouldn't worry, every pregnancy is different.

I'm the same as you, had posterior placenta with ds1 and was way bigger with him than with this one, and this time placenta is anterior. I don't think position of placenta has much to do with bump size though, every pregnancy is different:)
