Any 30+ yr olds TTC#1 and want 3 or more?

I'm sure I'm not alone.

I'll be 30 in September and I'm currently TTC#1 but I really want to have 3 or 4 kids. I have this constant worry that time and mother nature will prevent me having my dream family.

Is there anyone else out there at my age who wants a big family?

That's me! I'm 30 and we hope to have 3 children. I'd love a 4th, but like you say mother nature and time are now running away from us.

It seems like we'll have to have our kids fairly close together in order to get the big family we both want.

To be honest though for now I'm just happy to concentrate on getting us pregnant with #1. I'll worry about any siblings after they're born.

I am with you too. I am 29 (will be 30 next January) and we want three kids. I have been trying for a year now with no luck (one chemical pregnancy mixed in there). I am working with my doctor now though so I am positively optimistic that I will get a BFP sometime soon (hopefully). Like silverbell, I really want a big family but I feel like the biggest hurdle right now is getting (and staying) pregnant with #1. I will worry about #2 and #3 when the time comes But ya, they will have to come back to back to back (which isn't a bad thing I don't think).

Sorry to hear of your loss Nicky.
I'll be turning 30 in November, being an only child I always wanted a brother or sister growing up. I've always wanted 3/4 children but like the rest of u after 8 months TTC, I'd be happy to get one BFP for now and I'll worry about number 2 or 3 when the time comes. I think we'll have to have our children close together too but I don't think I'll wait too long before TTC number 2 cos its taking long enough for number 1!

I'll be 32 this July and we would like 3 children but after a mc two years ago we finding it hard to conceive again. Just been referred to a specialist for dh's low motilily and morphology and my progesterone level wasn't high enough to indicate definite ovulation. So probably our dream family won't come true. I'm trying to focus on #1 now and would be grateful to God if he gave me at least one. Good luck to all x x

I'm 32 and been TTC for about 7 months and want 3-4 kids. It would be so fun. Who knows, maybe we'll get Clomid and twins!

Hubby and I are also interested on adopting but gosh, there are never enough babies and too many abortions instead. We've looked into it and it's daunting here in New Zealand.

i am 31 next month and really wanted a baby before or during my 30th year, well thats gone! been trying around 18months and have a doc appointment later this month,.
wanted 2-3 kids but now, i would be happy with 1 healthy baba, just to be blessed with 1 would feel like the best thing!

I'm 28 and I too would like to have 3/4 children. Hubby and I come from 3 or 4 children families and it's something we would like to replicate. I've only just started my journey so I'm not too worried yet, though my OH is 31 this summer and he does worry about being an older Dad. My SIL's had her children at 30 and 32 and is considering trying for a third, so I still feel that if I can have children (fingers crossed) then a 3 or 4 child family is do-able

You spend your entire lives trying to prevent pregnancy - who knew it would be THIS hard to get and stay pregnant. I wish someone would have told me so we could have started trying earlier!

Like most of you...I am not concentrating on baby # 3 or 4 though, my focus is just this one I hope to be carrying soon...
I understand the feeling of running out of time. I hate it! I wish I can take back these 10 years of marriage and re-do them over with hubster...sigh...ah, the guilt I carry around because of our past actions...

I'm 29 (30 in October) and really want 3... However, 15 months of trying doesn't seem to have done the trick for number 1 yet.

I'm onto Clomid now and like it was said earlier... kind of hoping for Clomid twins...

Still, I've always had a funny feeling that it would take me a while for the first and then the other two would happen quickly. Here's hoping!

I know just what you mean! I've taken a lot of pregnancy tests in my life, hoping and praying that they'd turn out negative (which they did). It's so strange to look back on that now. I'm also turning 30 in January, and I wish I could go back a couple of years and shake my 27/28 year old self. "You are ready, Karen! Get going!"

You never know how things may go, but I also want a big family... perhaps bigger than I'd be able to make and squeeze out on my own. An old high school friend of mine has been taking in foster kids, and has adopted 3 of them-- one a baby, and two of them younger children. I've been thinking a lot lately about eventually going that route...
