I fell on the ice on the 27th of December on the driveway at work.. I started to get pains in my back and lower abdomen after about 15 minutes, getting over the initial embarassment and shock of falling over . . .
My colleagues insisted i go and get checked out at the hospital and to go home for the rest of my shift. The junior doctor at the hospital explained that she thought i'd tweaked the muscles in my back and scanned the baby to check all was o.k..... all of which seemed fine with baby bean..

It was only 2 days later that i started to feel alot more discomfort in the lower right quadrant of my stomach everytime i lifted my left leg more than 2 inches off the ground and with every step i took...
After 4 days of this i went to my local GP surgery who could only get me in with a temp... :dohh: (not to say that he is less qualified, just knows nothing of me). I explained the run up to the pain and he had a feel of my tum.... He reduced me to tears prodding around, with the diagnosis that he suspected that during my fall i probably pulled the muscles in my abdominal wall.... i would therefore just have to put up with it...

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions of how i may be able to at least help relieve the pain and discomfort when i move, let alone get dressed or walk!! lol :help:

I pulled my groin when I was about 15 weeks pregnant. I got told rest and paracetamol. Sorry I can't be of much help!

I pulled the "round ligaments" when I was 4 1/2 months along trying to wrestle my 115 lb. German Shepherd during a horrible storm (she's terrified)...it hurt like nothing else I've experienced. The doc told me to simply lay up. And I did. That was all I could do! It hurt to sneeze!!! Put your feet up and rest on the sofa. They will get better, but it does take some time. Warm bath helped the muscle pain, too.
