I have a question about the parenting payment (Australian mum's). About the mutual obligations... It says to receive the support you have to be primary carer AND meet mutual obligations being either part time study or work. I am doing a bachelors degree externally as well as looking after our beautiful but very challenging 8 month old alone 6 days a week til 11pm. I can only do my study when she sleeps at night... Which isn't much. I am desperate to defer as I'm doing badly and the stress is killing me but my fiancé is on a very low income and we literally can't survive without the parenting payment. Oddly though, I've been on the payment a few months and they've never asked if I'm studying or working... Is anyone on this payment and not studying or working?
