I have had a lot of problems with my skin since pregnancy with my son, who is now 17 months old. During pregnancy I developed a terrible itchy skin rash called PUPPP. It was hell. After the birth it went away but my itching down below has never fully gone away.

I went to see my GP and to the sexual health clinic for tests etc because the itching got so so so bad over the last 6 weeks and I got some kind of like blisters there too. I don't use anything perfumed, fancy creams, etc and I only use non-bio washing powder, no fabric softener.

I have had treatment for staph infection, thrush and fungal infection but nothing has worked. To cut a long story short, this itch is making my life hell. Does anyone have any advice? Anyone familiar with hormone-related skin problems?

Please please help

No, not a dermatologist, but have you checked all of your soaps, cosmetics, cleaning agents, etc for parabens, SLS, etc? They are very common causes of skin complaints.

Not a dermotologist but I do suffer from severe psorasis, I have terrible itching down below and all thrush creams etc never work I'm actually making an appointment this week to see if I can have a refferal as I believe it could possibly be a form of psorasis, not much help, in fact not any help but I wanted you to know your not alone in your itching :flower:

If it's making your life hell I would go back to your gp and request a referral to a dermatologist, no one should have to live like that. Have you tried a steroid cream?

Thanks everyone for your replies. My itch is still here and everyday I get new itchy "blisters". I feel like I'm living a nightmare. My GP has finally referred me to a dermatologist but there is a 6 week waiting list. Not sure what I'm going to do until then. I'm going crazy and I can't talk to my husband about it any more - Im driving him nuts with it all. :nope:

I am certain what I have is either hormonally driven or something called pemphigoid gestationis that I developed in pregnancy. Does anyone know anything about this?
