My Dr wants to induce me on the 28th....
I've scheduled myself for acupuncture, but I've never done it before.
I just want to know I've done what I can before medical intervention needs to take place....

I haven't done it, but it's my plan to this time. I'm hoping someone else can share their experiences.

With DS2 i had acupuncture on the monday afternoon and i went into labour late on tuesday night. I also bd on the tuesday so not sure if it was that, the acupuncture or both but i wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Good luck you may as well give it a try, you've nothing to lose.

Had my first session yesterday. Afterwards, walking to the car, it felt like my pelvis was looser and baby's head really low. But don't feel many changes now after sleeping.
I'm going to do one more session today and Ill try walking more afterwards. I hope baby comes after that!

Well just wanted to update...I had 3 sessions of acupuncture, including "cupping" and ear acupuncture where they tape seeds in specific places that I can rub whenever.
Aaaannnndddd..Nothing.
Medicated induction starts tomorrow. Yippee....sarcasm..

I'm sorry, Wnt2bAMom. That sucks. It sounds like you did all you could. Maybe the acupuncture will have prepped your body so that the induction goes smoothly and easily.

I was coming on here to say that I have contacted an acupuncturist who specializes in women's issues (she does a ton of fertility treatments) and is a nurse midwife. She said for 2nd babies (this is my second) she has a 95% success rate after 1-3 treatments. My OB is fine with it so I think I'm going to schedule a few treatments.
