Any first time mums, nearly 19 weeks, no bump and no movement! :(

Really starting to panic myself and want some reassurance that this is normal as im a worrier but im 18+4 and have no movement and my stomach is still completly the same, is anybody else like/was like this? im so scared to go for my scan next week and be told somethings wrong! please help xxx

Hello. Try not to panic yourself. With my first I didnt really start to show a 'bump' until about 18-19 weeks and even then it was just looking like a podgey belly. I soon ballooned and by the end of my pregnancy I was huge!

If you are really concerned then perhaps contact your midwife?

Hey hun. This is my fourth baby. This time I didnt feel movement till 18-19 weeks so dont worry. Once it happens it will happen all the time. Wont be long now

im the same hun! 20 weeks and no kicks! do you know where your placenta lies? mine is anterior whcih is at the front so it cushions kicks till later xx

Hunn dont worry i was 19+4 when i felt my first flutters and still just flutters now although stronger rather than full kicks, its normal not to feel anything till after 20 weeks so dont panic x

Don't worry, this is my second and my belly has just started to pop and I'm not feeling alot of movement either. With my first I waited even longer and its annoying because you just want to feel the reassurance of the little bean moving. I do think its very common to still have no movement!

have you got a doppler? you might find it reassuring if you could use one at home now and then.

my mum said she didnt get a bump until she was about 7 months and after that she just suddenly ballooned. with my sister she said she stopped feeling movement at 5 months for the rest of the pregnancy so had to be monitored throughout from then but my sister was born big and healthy x

Thankyou, i was very concerned so went to the midwife of tuesday and she briefly listened to the hb and said everything was fine, but im such a worrier! my doppler had broken and im still waiting for the replacement to be deleivered! i just find it so hard to beleive there a baby in there! no kicks and a still flat stomach make it lots harder to beleiver.
Dont know about the placenta, nobody mentioned anything about it at the 12 week scan! good luck for ur scan samira! xxx

Same here, anterior high placenta and very rarely felt movement this week and even at that can't be sure it was baby...apparently its normal

With my first I had no bump in the slightest until at least 26 weeks. I left work at 32 weeks and some people then still didnt even know I was pregnant as I had no bump. I would say it is the last 6-8 weeks you really balloon. I didnt feel Bobby move until 21 weeks either but that was because I had anterior placenta.

I have no bump again yet and dont think I have felt it move!!

I am a first time mom too at just over 22 wks. I didn't feel anything either then just around ur time I felt weird pains... My stomach decided to stretch and it was litterally a week later I felt kicks and had a bump! I immediately had to go by maternity clothes after being able to put it off all this time. It was like nothing to a whole lotta something overnight!
