I work in a factory assembling plastic car parts (which is incredibly boring). I have been there 8.5 years now and I have only been there so long as it pays the bills and gave me money to do other things that I wanted.
I am due to go back after my maternity leave (Jan '14) but I am worried that they won't be able to accommodate our needs. OH also works for the same company on a 730-1600 day job. I worked shifts 6-1400 or 1400-2200. We can't afford child care as to have those hours covered would give me a take home of £25 a week which see,s pointless me working.
I have been looking in to other possible options should I have to quit my current employer and on of the options was to buy a franchise (no idea what yet) and wanted to know what other people think?
Other option is to become a childminder as I am a qualified Nursery Nurse which is what I wanted to do when I was in school (working with children).
