It's hard to tell because you cant see the nub.. Male and female genitalia looks very similar at this stage of gestation (both external), but there's a method which measures "the angle of the dangle" boys are said to have a nub that points slightly up while girls are said to have a nub that is parallel to the babies spine. I too was anxious to find out what I was having and began researching ways to tell by 12 week scan. I found the website "ingender" to be helpful.
