Any suggestions for coping with sore boobs?!

I've never had a problem with boobs I'm literally smaller than an AA cup but they are killing me, mainly my nipples it feels like I've been given the worst nipple cripples ever to the point where I accused my hubs of molesting me in my sleep! I went to get measured yesterday thinking a new bra might help but debenhams said I was 38AA and they don't do that size and m&s said 36B which is ridiculous so I went home empty handed and feeling really deflated
I just wondered if there was anything to help with the soreness (like the cabbage leaves when breast feeding) it's driving me mad! Thanks in advance! Xx

I have this too, try to keep warm and sleep in your bra or a tight vest, helps me! xx

I am suffering with sore boobs too, the only thing that's helped me is a sports bra at night as it keeps them still, but I am quite big so they do tend to move around alot in bed! I whacked my nipple with a brush yesterday, omg!!!!
Hopefully it will ease soon, I've been told it eases as your body gets used to the hormones! x

There is nothing. It is just your boobs preparing to make milk. They do settle down. A hot bath can temporally ease the pain. You can take paracetamol as a last resort but to he honest, you ought to get used to it, as they hurts
more after birth

Thanks ladies! I had no bother when I was pregnant with my son until my milk came in after he was born and i was expecting it which is why it's stressing me out second time round! I hope it eases off soon it's driving me completely mad xxx

this made me laugh! when I was moaning about my sore boobs my DH said to me, do you want me to massage them to make them feel better? 'ER, NO!! Do not even touch the air around them!!!!'

But yeah just wait til your milk comes in after the birth, THAT is pain... !

OMG!! The pain at 3 days when my milk came in...was the first time I thought I could never contemplate fakies!! I went to sleep in the afternoon normal and woke up with 2 small mountains on my chest. I remember priding them and the flesh didn't go in, they were that hard!! My boobs itch sooo bad, and ache.They're not that big, but they feel heavy. Mine feel better with no bra on at the minute.I took it off last night and the feeling was amazing, I started massaging them to ease them a bit, think I may have been making some sounds as well a few oooohs and aaaars! My husband was enjoying the show until I gave him the 'don't even think about it' look!!

Massaging them and doing lightish draining movements from the nipple outwards does actually help! It may seem tender at first but it relieves it for a while. Just use loads of moisturiser.

I read in another post about been careful about where you get your boobs measured as some don't do it correctly. The poster was a bra measurer and said they should measure cup size by looking alone, a trick they pick up.

I was wondering where to go to be measured that you can rely on the measurement as your two measurements are way out!

I have been sleeping in my bra to help with support

I think it was the post about underwires? Not that underwires are my problem I've got nothing to support as it is! I might go to mothercare, my friend suggested that after I'd cried about them for about an hour on the phone
When my milk came in with Wilson I actually filled an A cup bra but it rained on the parade that I wanted to chop them off, that's what's put me off getting them done I've always said I'd have a boob job, for self confidence mainly and Ive saved for one for years but as soon as I experienced milk coming in the money I'd saved it is went towards all sorts of baby treats xxx

my nipples are tender, and only my left breast is sore. it seems.... lumpy? and painful. i am an A cup and massaging really does make it feel better. fob offered to massage for me and i let him while we were laying in bed going to sleep. he started VERY gently then i let him press a bit harder. felt really good over the really sore parts once everything got heated up. at first i really didn't want him to touch my breast at all because of the pain but i was concerned about a lump i felt so i let him touch it.

anyone else feeling strange lumps? i'm going to talk to my ob/gyn about it at my next appt.

Sudden lumpiness and change in texture is all part of them developing the milk making parts, and having one worse than the other is normal too. Mine are like that and after freaking out about it, I went to the doctor and she said it was normal.

Tell me about it I've never experienced anything like it it was the worst few days ever and everyone kept telling me to breastfeed but Wilson was in intensive care so I would have had to express and I didn't want to! That's probably the thing I'm least looking forward to this time knowing now what it was like last time I hate boobies! X

At first just my nipples were sore....Now about a week later my whole breast feels as if I went on a 10 mile jog with no support. I am a DD so support is a must but my nipples feel like some one has been twisting them for days and days so any fabric that touches them no matter how soft send tears to my eyes. The soreness is under my breasts and on the sides and also on the tops. They also look like Frankenstein attacked with all the blue veins!! A hot shower feels great for the soreness but try to shield your nipples from the spray of the water. Also sleeping on my belly every other night helps compress them which feels alright as well. I massage the sore areas throughout the day which to me makes them feel a little better but the thing I have yet to find a relief for is the feeling of extreme heaviness. My upper back aches a lot during the day from weight now.
