I saw another thread on blood pressure and had a similar question (but didn't quite find the answers I was looking for in the thread) and was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to increase BP?

I literally just got home from my mw appt and my bp is low (for me) at 110/50 and my mw suggested I try eating liquorice (really common where I live) but I think it tastes awful. I often feel dizzy and have nearly fainted on several occasions, but I had a big bleed 6 weeks ago (and have been having a 'light' period ever since) so I assumed I could attribute the light-headedness to the blood loss (although they checked my iron levels 6 weeks ago and they were still normal).

Any suggestions on ways to increase bp or combat the dizziness?

Thanks :flower:

Try eating more things with salt/sodium, drink more water, try to get up and move around more if you can (exercise always elevates mine), eat smaller meals more often :flower:

Agree with kitteh kat- more water and more sodium will help a lot. It def helped me!

I've had low blood pressure every pregnancy combined with anaemia which makes me feel breathless/lightheaded all the timeeee.

I mostly was told to drink more!

If you want to raise your blood pressure, you can come spend the day with my kids. :haha: Always seems to raise mine! :winkwink:
