i am 40 got the same crap as well told them i was alot healthier than i was in my 20s just be positive put what they said aside most of our mothers and grandmothers had a last pregnancy at 40+ think they like to just tell all negatives nothing positive am due tomorrow have had a perfect pregnancy

Is it possible to find another Dr/MW? That's totally crappy of them. Yes, there CAN be extra risks cause you're older. But it's amazing how many women over 40 have perfectly, healthy, normal pregnancies/births.

I am 41, this is my fourth. My Dr/MW is so awesome! I wish all MW's were as cool as she. The office I go to has a male OB Dr and two midwives. All thru my pregnancy I will see each of them. And I can tell them who I want to be my 'main' caregiver. I saw the Dr for my first visit. And other than a small "you're over 35 and you might have a few extra risks" talk, he was so great!

I'm 43 and I have seen Dr. Grumpbump my pregnancy and he is totally negitive about my pregnancy. Gonna try to see a more positive doctor...

i know what you mean i feel ova hill and yet when i was on fertilty treatment there was ladies a lot older than me

I am 44 and "fired" my Dr. Grump Bump!

I had 3 miscarriages in a two year period and he wouldn't even run any tests, just pretty much told me "what do you expect at your age?"

So, when this pregnancy went to 12 weeks and he was still so nasty, I requested to be sent to another doctor. It's a totally different story with my other doctor.

i am 39 and this is baby number 7.my dr and mw have been great, they have told me its a higher risk like bleeding due to having lots of babys .everything has been a lot harder this time but only got 6 weeks left:happydance:
