Anybody Allergic To Washing Powder?

iv had a rash now for nearly 2 weeks and its really itchy the rash is like raised bumps but looks like blotches my doctor aint got a clue but i think iv had a allergic reaction to daz cant change it tho til tuesday x

Yea I was allergic to surf made it's much worse whilst pregnant. I'll never forget that itching itsss terrible!!

alot of people are allergic to daz or bio stuff its really strong! ive been allergic since i was young so has my bro the only thing we can use is fairy non bio or surcare which doctors recomend!

I reacted to Fairy.....obviously I don't use that now but you could always use the extra rinse cycle, that should help a little until you can get more shopping

I can only use non-bio washing stuff or i come out in a rash or get really itchy but thats down to my having eczema .. but anything with like fragrances in im alergic to as in lemon,lavender and all that .. maybe change your washing powder but i dont know what to suggest to use if anything id say non-bio but everyones different x

Yeah, I'm allergic to quite a few, but strangely enough I'm fine with all of the Bold ones, even though they are strongly fragranced!

I've switched over to Fairy Non-bio since getting pregnant though, only because I'm washing the baby's things as I buy them and it saves room in the cupboard just having one brand

I'm allergic to Persil too. If I buy something off ebay I have to wash it before I can wear it just incase it's been washed in persil xx

hi just wondering if anybody has had anything the same as what iv got now its driving me crazy recently my mam has changed the washing powder to daz later that day i suddenly got rashes all over my body and my face and also my face is all dryed up and flakey now also when i went to the doctors i didnt realise my mam changed the washing powder until a few weeks later so i coudnt tell the doctor so he thaught i had scabies but i havnt got any of the usual symtoms for it. iv got no rashes under my arm pit area groins inbetween fingers or any places like tht.
just wonderin has anybody had any allergic reactions similar to this before its driving me crazy

My son is - we have to use a natural one called ECOVER otherwise it gives him eczema.

I think with him its to do with the optical brighteners that are put into most detergents as these stay on the clean clothes and can come off on the skin. Nasty stuff.

does he get all the same symptoms as i get like .. face red blotchy and dryed up flakey skin around the nose, forehead and eyebrow area and also very itchy rashes all around the body mainly around... arms,belly,chest,back and also feet mainly on top thanks .

He never got it on his face but he did get rashes on his arms, legs, belly, chest, same sort of thing as you describe though. Red blotchy with dry flaky skin.

Maybe you should just try a different detergent and see if it makes a difference.

Im not allergic to it, but I always use Fairy, as its better for the whole family

Fairy is the only powder/liquid I do react to
I tried the sample sachet of softener to test it out and seemed ok with that though but didn't like the smell

I swear by Fairy liquid for my dishes though and hate using anything else though
