Is anyone here 40+ having or had a repeat c-section? I ask because this will be my third one, but it's been over 15 years since the last. I always hear people say that as we age it takes longer for the body to heal so I'm curious what your healing time has been now as opposed to when you were younger. Is there really that much of a difference?

I had a csection 3 weeks ago and am 40. I think I've healed amazingly well! The wound looked great after only about 5 days and dh had to remind me to do less since coming home from hospital since I felt so good in myself. I have to admit to feeling tired in the first two weeks after we had been out and about, but otherwise I'm doing good xxxx

Edit..sorry, just realised you asked about repeat c sections...this was my first :dohh:

I'm 37 so not helpful! but my second section was better recovery than my first.

the other lady who had an elective section same day as me was 45 and having her third section. she went home after 24 hours and said she felt great! she was walking perfect and carried her own bags out etc.
