I failed a GTT in my first pregnancy (think it was 8.2) and ended up having to attend the clinic. Was 'diet controlled' which I didn't change my diet and rarely saw a result which wasn't in range.
Second time I past my GTT and they left me alone.
Now with my third I've been booked into the clinic already and have already had blood drawn and am meant to be monitoring my blood 3 days a week.
They 'won't let me off' till I've passed 3 GTTs which seems a bit bloody excessive. Is this standard practise now? I will now my head and admit defeat if I start showing abnormal results early on, but if I don't have it and they've made me have 3 GTTs and monitor my sugars for 20 odd weeks I am going to be seething.
