Hey ladies

So we are on the waiting list for IVF and DH has another SA in 4 weeks. Last SA showed an 800% improvement and i was wondering if it goes up this time into double figures, if IUI would be an option?

Does anyone know the criteria??

Not sure how the NHS goes... our treatment for IVF is before Feb but if he has more sperm i would really like to give IUI an option since it's less invasive.

Help!!!!

:happydance:

Hi Rachelle,

I am not in the UK so don't know what the procedures are, but I have my fingers crossed that you will be able to try IUI whilst you wait for your IVF.

FX you get your BFP in the very near future :hugs:

Hi hun

They like to have at least 5 million motile sperm post wash for success, preferably 10 million.... FX u can do IUI..

we only had 2 million sperm post wash so that is why we need ICSI...

Good luck hun

Thanks hun - it worked out that he had 8 million last time but only 25% motility due to the hot baths so that knocked it down to 2 million - kinda hoping since the new shower has been fitted the count may have gone up or motility improved. Not sure if the clinic would offer it or if we have to ask?!?

I reckon it would be worth asking, they might not think to suggest it as you are on the waiting list for IVF

Hi i've recently had lap so being left for 4 months before seeing Fertility consultant again but when/if i go back we will be placed on the ivf list which is a year long and been told we will receive iui in the interm

Hi Rach

In our hospital the waiting list for IUI is longer than the one for IVF - or at least it was a year ago when we went for our consultation. My consultant said that he doesn't really rate it for women over the age of 25 as the increase in chances of success are negligible. But check it out - there is a postcode lottery after all, and maybe you'll get the chance to try a couple of goes before your IVF

Good luck

xx

My FS said very similar to Tanya's, anything from 4 million up.

Good news about having the shower installed.

I am not sure if your hubby is already doing it but I forced my DH to take a Zine&Selinium&Maginsium table combo and Staminogro for the past two years.
I believe this also helps.

StaminoGro

The StaminoGro tablet uses slow release technology to allow absorption of the entire product at the correct part of the gastrointestinal tract. It is recommended that the product be taken before going to sleep at night. This should maximise the early morning release of HGH from the pituitary gland.

HOW CAN THESE TABLETS DO SO MUCH?
StaminoGro, as a potent mitochondrial enhancer, acts on all cells of the body. This action leads to an increased supply of HGH, IGF, vitamins, anti-oxidants and minerals to the mitochondriae of these cells.
Four tablets daily – this dosage is designed to maximise the release of HGH and is recommended for assisting with the halting of the ageing process, reversing severe symptoms, possibly improving sperm and egg quality, aiding weight loss and building muscle mass. This dosage is recommended for adults only. It is suggested that a person only commences usage of the product with two tablets daily with a gradual increase to four tablets daily.
