hey all was wondering if anyone had been married and had thier reception in cumbernauld mainly the new town hall?

Not the new town hall only the old one! Is that where you're planning?

Oh you could go down the fields for some pictures, that would be lovely!

not sure yet tbh, just trying to find out how much would cost and if it is worth it, want somewhere can get married and have recpetion in the same place. there was an old town hall? lol i feel really stupid, my parents got married in the old reg office in the cumbernauld town centre, but thats moved to the new town hall as well i think now... not sure, cumbernauld fields could be nice for pictures i guess, not sure wanted to have wedding and recpt in the same place to cut out transport costs. and trying to budget as much as possible so not got to the photo's yet lol :D

What about Cumbernauld Town Hall then Cumbernauld Theatre for reception?

boathouse??? i swear i thought i knew cumbernauld pretty well lol.... wanted to keep it all in one place thats why was thinking new town hall would be good cause they have a small room can get married then on top floor they have a huge room which is good for big parties and wedding recpetions, i have been to a wedding there, i don't think the cumbernauld theatre is up to much tbh, wouldn't consider it a place for weddings but then never been to one there or heard of one there.

just googled "the boathouse" its lovely, really nice, but not sure if will be able to get married there, not sure either how many they can hold....

are you from cumbernauld? where did you get hitched?

Yeah born n bred :D

I know they do wedding receptions. It's lovely too with the water. I have something about weddings and water lol

We went away up to Dunkeld Hilton in Dunkeld on the way to Pitlochry past Perth. It is such a special place and has the River Tay flowing down past it, just hope the pictures are good from the photographer beside the river.

thats nice hun not sure were that is but sounds lovely, i'm cumbernauld born and breed also lol... got loads of time to make up my mind, was considering a place in bishopbriggs its just beautiful seen a wedding in there on passing, its all about the ££'s though lol :D

my uncle lives at the foot of that in old house there its lovely house never actually been up the path to the Colzeum though lol

My aunt got married there - beautiful. Honestly go and have a walk this weekend - you'll fall in love :)

no way of getting there lol but might check it out if can convince someone to take us up loads of people have said it was lovely though.

wonder what the price tag on it is though.

I know...however it would be great for a ceremony? With reception at Boathouse.
