Anyone catch your own baby?

Hi, just popping over from 3rd tri to ask if anyone had caught their own baby? I saw this on a birth show once, and thought it was so cool! The mom just reached down and pulled the baby out herself.
Anyone actually done this? Is it a bad idea? Opinions or advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

I didn't, and have no idea of the safety of it, but I don't think I would have been able to bend down that far while pushing him out!

Yip I did it, though its because I had just gone to the loo (after being checked by the mw and told I was grand no sign of baby), as soon as I got into the loo, I felt the baby coming and bang he was born, while I was standing there, surprising the things you can do when you need too.
