I had to get my culture done to see if I have the strep b bacteria or not and my OB asked if I would like my cervix checked while she was down there (she actually said it like that and for some reason it made me giggle like crazy) she warned me if may be discomforting, and may hurt a little but I said yes. It wasnt bad for me, only once very very quickly did I feel any pain and it was slight (she even asked if I was okay). But I am almost 2cm dilated and already thinning. She was very happy about that, and even agreed with me that the baby may possibly (haha its my gut feeling) come before May 10th.

The thing is afterward I went to WalMart with OH, and my mom to buy some baby things, and furbaby things :haha:, and now normally I kid you not once a week oh and I are at WalMart and will be there like 8 hours, walking around looking and getting things (I swear time flies in that place) and I have no issue. Well this time I got back pain from after I left the OB and it got worse at WalMart, it actually was really bad, and I was having slight contractions.

OH had to check out alone as I couldn't stand that long and went outside with my mom to sit on a bench and wait. I continued having back pain throughout the rest of the night and still have it, although no contractions. Could this be caused from getting my cervix checked? Its in my lower back, I mean 10x worse than menstrual cramps but it feels like it just way more intense. I know after I ate dinner I had gas and still do but that doesn't explain before.

Does anyone else get contractions or back pain after a cervix check? Could mine be due to it?

Yes. I get contractions every single time. I also get extremely crampy.
