For me, exercising means going for a walk; I am not very athletic these days!

Once i've been walking for more than five minutes, my stomach gets hard and t feels heavier. I know that light exercise is good for me (especially in light of all the Halloween candy I've been eating) so I press on, but I find it uncomfortable.

The other thing I notice is that my ankles hurt! I imagine that's because my center of gravity has shifted and my hips are wider, so my stride is different.

Anyone else experience something similar?

It's funny....no walking = hip and back pain. Walking = long BH and ankle pain. Can't win!

I did, I worked out till I gave birth. I stopped running around 34 weeks and was walking. I got BH only when I worked out, but when I got them, I would take a little break and stop and then continue again

i dont know if i really know what BH feel like, i may be starting to notice them now but i definitely know what your talking about when walking... 70% of the time in the first 3 mins of my walk the bottom of my tummy gets hard and it hurts a little, feels like a muscle cramp... are these BH? I can't think of any other explanation? Also after i do a #2 (sorry tmi but its the truth :haha:) if im walking and it happens most times i can walk it off but sometimes i have to stop for a sit

I'm 38 weeks and have been exercising (now walking) since the beginning of pregnancy. I do get bh and cramps. Usually the cramp doesn't go away, is painful, and only on one side of my belly. The bh's come and go, aren't painful, and tightens my entire belly. When I get a cramp, I usually just stop for a quick minute and it passes.
My belly also feels heavier when I exercise.

I get them while teaching my aerobics classes, I now stop moving my feet or sit down until the tightening goes, I get less bh outside of classes then.

Walking is completely out for me though unless I'm wearing my spd support belt!! Just can't make it at any pace and the bh get quite painful!

I get them when walking. Midwife tells me it is a good thing, increases blood flow to baby and lots of good stuff. I just have to slow right down while having one. If I walk too fast I get a cramp (round ligament related I think). It worried me at first but starting to get more used to it.

Ah, good to know I am not alone!

Yup, I always get BH when walking, it normally takes about 5 minutes but then it's pretty intense. It does fade though. I find walking in general a bit of a drag now but I'm pushing on as I don't drive and still want to get about whilst I can :)
