Hi everyone!
Im new here but thought id jump right in! (After all I came here for answers and support!lol)
First I have pcos, and my fiancee and I are ttc :)
I stopped birth control in nov, and hadn't had a period since then. The dr gave me provera 10mg for 10 days. Funny thing is I started bleeding on the 7th day. I bled for 8 days. But it was such light pink, and brown! And it was only there when I wiped! The entire 8 days!! This started 18 days after I last had sex. (I wasn't charting or anything at that time.)
Does this sound like implantation or just a wacky period??? The bleeding stopped sat. And I took a test this morning, bfn, but is there still hope??
Thanks

I took provera twice for two different things: the first time they gave me provera to help hold the baby when I had a chance of miscarriage, which eventually happened. The second time I was given Provera a few days before my period to regulate periods, and this really helped for a while. This was after two miscarriages 3 years ago. I'm still TTC!

Thank you for the reply!! Im soo soo sorry for your losses!! That's got to be sooo hard! I told my fiancee that's why I was even scared to ttc... I didn't wana go thru that, but I guess what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger! Good luck to you!! I hope you get a sticky sticky bean very very sooooon!!

I have PCOS too and have just been through an exploratory op to see if my tubes are working ok (which they are thank god!). I have just been put onto 10mg Provera for 7 days (3 x per day) and will be starting Clomid once I bleed to help me ovulate (I only have a handful of periods per year).

I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you, but I have been told the bleed on Provera may not be like a normal period, but this is ok...all I can suggest is that you take another test in a few weeks just to be on the safe side?

What is the long term plan for you? Are you to be put onto Clomid too?

Wishing you lots of luck!

provera is a form of progetserone which can cause irreg bleeding as a side effect
So this may be causing the symptoms you are describing

If you have PCOS, have you been tested for ovulation?

Sounds like the medication but I do wish you luck for a sticky bean
xxx

Just thought I would mention my experience - I have PCOS and took provera after I missed two periods and came on within a couple of weeks - the period I experienced was really heavy for a few days and then went onto normal flow - I fell pregnant that cycle.
Wishing you the best of luck for a BFP very soon! x

I also have PCOS and took Provera last month for the first time in order to start Clomid. My period was very light on it. If you are not ovulating chances are the uterine lining isn't growing very thick so consequently the bleed would not be too heavy. I am on Provera again at the moment so will be interesting to see what happens this month. Do try another test hun but would imagine your spotting was just the body's response to the Provera:hugs:

I have PCOS and I'm on Provera for the second time. My first ecperience with Provera was last cycle. I took it for 7 days and then 10 days after the last pill AF came. It was actually a short 3 days with a light flow. Dare I say pleasant compared to previous visits from the :witch: I had some cramping and a bloaty feeling a few days before AF actually showed though. I'm hoping AF this cycle is pleasant as well. I'm also taking metformin for the first time this cycle. I'm taking it alongside the Provera and will be taking it with 10mg of Clomid once AF shows. Good luck :)
