Anyone else missing getting baby gear for baby #2?

It seems silly, but I'm really missing all the research and planning that went into deciding what baby gear we needed/wanted for kid #1. They'll be about 3 years apart, and we kept everything, so we really need nothing but diapers. I'm glad to not have to dish out money, but I miss doing all the research and reading reviews...

Am I alone in this?

You are not alone! Husband and I are considering picking up a few new things that look neat. :) If we do, we will consign or sell the pieces we have already.

Part of nesting. All of my baby furniture is purchased and decided on. It was a great distraction for awhile. But it also feels great that I don't have to think about it anymore. I am already plotting my diaper stockpile trip to Costco.

I think I was the same between my first and second as there was only 21 months between them and I'd kept everything. This time though, I feel like a first time mum again and feel like I've no clue what to do!

I really do not miss it! But may just be because I've had a lot on my mind lately.
You can still go out and buy all the cute outfits, even if you don't really need any more

Me too! I've ended up obsessively browsing a local Facebook group where local mums get rid of the stuff their babies are growing out of. I buy stuff there... Very cheap!!

I still need to buy a lot of stuff like car seat, Moses basket, newborn clothes and much more! My son will be 4 years and 3 months by the time baby is here so I really don't have much of his stuff at all! Moses basket was given to us when he was born and he never slept in it so we gave it back when the owners had their own baby lol.... His car seat was in a shed and got damaged but either way I still would have wanted a new one :haha:

As for the newborn clothes I really don't have much from my son! Loads of clothes for when his older but not much baby stuff at all!

We have a baby bath but I'm probably gonna get a new one without OH knowing lol... Cause it's been so long I'm looking forward to doing shopping all over again :)!

Yeah I do a little bit! I feel a little bit unprepared/ unorganised - by this point last time I had started to buy a few things whereas this time at 23 weeks I have bought absolutely nothing ... Mainly because I don't need to lol.
I need to buy some bottles, and I will probably get a couple of sleepsuits just because it's nice to have one or two new things.
Don't get me wrong I don't missing shelling out money but it is all part of the fun!
I'm glad I'm not the only one :) x
We are having a surprise this time too so I am even less likely to buy things as we have quite a few unisex things from DD think I would rather wait until they're born (?)

Yes. My husband kept everything! Although my son will be 6 when this one is due so i'm not sure if the car seat will be in date and whether stuff has kept well. We need a massive sort out, and of course, this one is a girl so I kind of want to go get girly stuff. Hubby is being very strict with me though :haha:.

We've got virtually everything from when DS was born, and the majority of his big items were all gender neutral so we have nothing to buy. I am tempted to get a new bouncer and play pen. Will probably get new clothing after our little lady is born, though we couldn't help ourselves and bought a couple newborn hats yesterday :)

I'm enjoying not spending a lot of money, I didn't really spend a lot with my other two either though. I didn't buy anything too expensive. Their cribs and carseats were under $200 each. My mom is obsessed with buying the kids clothes. So I didn't have to buy much, except when I found something I liked.

I saved all the clothes from my 2 DS and though I'm having 2 girls this time, they'll use hand-me-downs until they get their own opinions and want to pick out their own clothes. Though my mother insists that they need pink clothes. Half the stuff she gets for the kids end up never being worn by them though.

My big investment this time around will be cloth diapers. I'll probably have 4 in diapers when they arrive. My 3 year old hasn't decided that he wants to us the potty full time yet. He'll use it if I tell him to, but he's not ready to use it of his own accord.

They boys are still using their cribs as toddler beds and I have two pack n plays, which the twins will use for a while. Maybe by next Christmas I'll by twin beds for the boys and transition everyone around.

Other than that, I just need to buy a 5 point harness booster for my 3 year old and I'll have enough carseats. One twin will be in an infant seat so I'll have to still buy convertible (or another 5 point harness for my now 2 year old who will be 3 by then), which will be cheaper.
