My hubby and I have been TTC for 7 months for #2. Took 4 months for #1.
Well my OBGYN sent me to a fertility specialist recently. He wants to treat me for a few months with Crinone for a Luteal Phase Defect even though my progesterone was 18.2 on 7 dpo. The reason is this, I have very short cycles, 23 days (occasional 24). These short cycles are not a new thing for me, but the spotting before is. I didnt spot with my first ttc journey. I start spotting religiously on day 21 of my cycle. I will spot for 3-4 days until a full flow on day 23 or 24.
He thinks there isn't enough time to implant and crinone could help with that. If it doesn't work in a few months, then its something else and we'll try clomid and go another route. He said quite possibly I might have fertilized an egg or 2 the last few months but my lining started shedding too soon. But there is no way to tell.
Has anyone had any similar experiences? Im not doing IVF or any of that at this point, this is the first cycle with any medication. I've read up on the Crinone and know some things about the symptoms and cleaning it out now and again, etc.
