Anyone else seen heartbeat at 5 weeks?

Hi all,

Wont bore you with the long story as its in another thread. Just really want to know if anyone else saw their babys heartbeat in the 5th week?

My u/s was at a private clinic with state of art equipment (whatever that means haha )

Lots of people have sd ''its rare to see HB in 5th week'' - so already aware of this, just want to know if anyone else has

hi hun well i had a scan last week and should have been 6 weeks 4 days but when having my scan all they found was a sac and yolk sac so put me back to just over 5 weeks so didnt see the stalk or a heat beat,im going back on the 20th april and it cant come quick enough just so i can see the heatbeat and know all is well even though i think it is anyway as my sickness is getting worse which is a good sign ,i have also read up that the heartbeat can start anywhere from 6 to 7 weeks so if ladies get to see it before then they are very lucky x x

hi i had a scan at 5weeks 1day and all we saw were 2sacs no yolks in them even, went back yesterday and one sac had remained empty but the other one had a healthy baby in with a perfect heartbeat, the baby even measured 4 days ahead of what it should have so must have been a slow starter xx

Hi I had a vaginal scan at 5 and a half weeks and there was a lovely little heart beat there! nothing much else though, just a tiny splodge on the screen. That's my we call the baby splodge now lol

so did you wait two weeks and see all that at second scan as im also wondering what i should be able see when i go back next week as by there dates i should be over 7 weeks but by mine it would have been 8 wks 4 days when i go for the second scan,im also wondering if little beanie is a slow developer but could just change loads and be back to what i thought i was,youve made me very excited for going back now and congratulations for all being well with your little bean x x x

With my last LO i seen beanie and hb at 5+3 days.. not sure you'll see anything at 5wks

I saw the heartbeat at 5 weeks 5 days.

yeah i waited 16 days, they suggested a rescan for 10days but couldnt get in until 16days after, the wait killed me it was practically all i could think about. i couldnt believe how much of a difference there was heres the pics:

top one is 5weeks 1day
bottom is 8weeks 0days hmmm big difference in 16days

ps its a very good sign you have a yolk sac xx

omg that is a very big difference,yeah i saw the yolk sac as mine was like ur first one but with a dot on the side,they didnt seem bothered about me going back any sooner than 2 weeks but suppose that could be becasue they saw the yalk sac where as they didnt for you but you have put me at so much ease now so thankyou and good luck for the rest of ur pregnancy x x x

thanks for replies - glad a couple of you have seen the HB within the 5 week mark. we could see the babys HB at our scan - but went in thinking i was 7 weeks. Told that by the size of yolk/sac/baby we are more like 5 weeks. So the HB was worrying me as of course the other theory is that i AM 6 weeks - but baby isnt developing.

so thanks to those who've said they saw the HB at 5 weeks... made me feel bit better

I had a scan at 5 weeks and only saw a gestational sac and yolk sac - no baby at all not even a fetal pole. Then I went back at 7 weeks and there was an 8.9mm small baby with a heartbeart. At 9 weeks it was 23mm and still had a good heartbeat!!

Don't panic as so much changes in just a few days in early pregnancy!!xx
