Evie does this quite often, she gulps a few times as if she can't get her breath and sometimes gets upset by it as if it's scared her . I'm wondering if this is wind coming up or to do with her reflux or just another baby thing x

my LO does it all the time, i remember all of my children doing it at some point, im not sure what causes it but its something they just outgrow

x

Thankyou, you've put my mind at rest, I was beginning to have a paranoid mummy moment x

We have this too and scares the living daylights out of me!! Mentioned it to my hv or just said 'oh' !!! then said mention it to the doctor at her 6 week check which is tomorrow.

It was common thing when she was newborn & first few months.
Cant say shes done it lately.

My LO does it all the time I'm not really sure what it is tho lol xx

jake does something similar but with his bottle in his mouth. he seems to guzzle to much milk then be gasping for air but wont let go of the teat so he can breath. was quite scary at first but i just let him get on with it now. having read your post i wonder if it is wind but hes to much of a ganit to let go and burp. he always creates when i take the bottle out mid feed to wind him.

Harry does this too, usually when he gets a bit excited feeding or in the middle of a colic induced screaming fit. Am going to ask my HV tomorrow.

Emma used to do this all the time too! Only ever seemed to happen in her bouncy chair. She stopped doing it about a month ago.
