They say girls steal your beauty...? Well this past week my skin is AWFUL!

I currently have eczema outbreaks on my cheeks and hands (hands are red raw), TMI but I also have thrush down below (currently treating it) and acne on my face, back and chest.

Is there a supplement or something I can take to combat my skin falling apart like this? I don't care too much about the acne but the eczema and thrush are painful :(

If you have thrush maybe it isn't regular eczema but Candida related? That would be an easy fix at least and is likely caused by hormones and digestion (antacids and antibiotics can do that too). Externally you simply use clotrimazole based anti fungal cream. The skin should then clear up, get dry and peel if it is a fungus. If the problem does not respond to the cream within 2-3 weeks it isn't Candida. Eczema, Candida and other skin problems are very often caused by digestion, which we know is impaired in pregnancy. Probiotics, digestive enzymes or even HCL capsules can fix digestive problems and are safe in pregnancy. HCL should only be used if a problem with digesting meat and protein exists in pregnancy since an overdose will lead to annoying heartburn.
Grapefruitseedextract internally and applied to the skin can also help cure a fungus. Creams are often just temporary band aids.

I have good skin now but did experience the Candida problem last pregnancy and after it got worse even! My skin was horrible for some time.

I have moderate/severe eczema. Even before I was pregnant I had it bad, but right now it's awful. I wish I could get some relief, too. Lately what has been helping me is the Gold Bond Eczema lotion with 2% colloidal oatmeal. It helps keep the irritation down. I'd also suggest oatmeal soaks/baths. My eczema is on my feet which is bad, but it's easy to get my foot basin out and soak them. I then slather them with coconut oil and then my lotion to lock it in and put socks on. As for the skin tearing...just try not to scratch. That's always my downfall

Yes! my skin has gone so dry in the last 2 weeks, I have mild eczema that comes and goes but its broke out all over the tops of my arms, my face is really dry and my hands have went so rough and dry. I didn't have this problem the last time lol I find vitamin E capsules really help, more than my cream from doctor for eczema, just break them open and rub on the dry patches. I've heard drinking those probiotic yoghurt drinks like Actimel can help with thrush, sort out the bacteria/PH levels etc, if you can stomach drinking them, how is your HG?

No eczema here but I did start to get quite spotty at the start of this pregnancy. I've basically stopped putting anything on my skin, even moisturiser unless I particularly need it. I just use a Simple skin wash with a gentle exfoliating pad and then pat dry. Nothing fancy and definitely only a bit of concealer and mascara if I look like I've been up half the night but usually nothing. Also taking my prenatal seems to help a tonne.
Sometimes what skin needs is time to heal itself, and the more stuff you put on it the more confused it gets and can't sort the problem out.
Drink plenty of water, take prenatals and maybe use just a light water based moisturiser on the worst bits (basic Aqueous cream works wonders on my LB's eczema outbreaks. You can find it down the medicine aisle of most supermarkets, usually near the plasters etc). Hope you get some relief soon :) xx

My face and arms are horrid. Scaley dry eczema and glowing bright red patches. I'm using doublebase gel - got it on prescription because i'm getting through so much. Its so upsetting on my face - i look like i'm really upset and been crying - big red patches around my eyes. Hoping we all get our eczema under control soon. Xxx

My little lady is certainly stealing my beauty, I'm so spotty and have dry skin, my hair is growing super fast including my eyebrows regrowth, lady garden and legs ewww lol

Im having a girl according to scan and my skin is terrible and dry/itchy! Mainly arms and legs, I will literally scratch til I bleed and hate it. Iv never had this with my boys! Im trying to make sure I use a scrub and then alot of moisturiser after showers and try to not itch if I can help it. Iv found Iv suffered so far (exhausted and cant do normal things without exhaustion setting in with this pregnanc)

My skin is awful this past week. Spotty and dry. Continuing to moisturise morning and night as I always do. I am so not glowing this pregnancy!

Well, if baby girls do steal beauty, then our little babes are going to be knockouts! We all seem to have similar problems! I finally got mine under control thank goodness, because it was SO bad I couldn't even wear makeup and my chest/back was super embarrassing!

So here is what I did...Disclaimer:
*** yes, I talked to my doctor before trying new things.
yes, I am aware that a lot of our B&B ladies like to do the all natural approach. It worked for me and I feel 100% more comfortable, confident and happy.

1. I bought a Mia 2. Yeah, they are kinda expensive, but I was able to find one for a pretty good price on Amazon and used the Amazon Prime free shipping. This is probably the best thing I have done, because it really feels like I am cleaning my skin thoroughly. I started out gentle though, because my skin was super sensitive and broken out. I use it on my face (as directed) and also use it on my chest.

2. I still use the same cleanser, philosophy purity. But I also use it on the Mia 2 when I do my chest.

3. Glycolic facial. Bless the lady who took on my nasty skin. I did this right before christmas as a kick start for better skin. Make sure that you tell the esthetician you are pregnant and they will use pregnancy safe products.

4. Glycolic facial toner (for after cleansing). I use the Mario Badescu Gylcolic and Grapefruit. *caution, it stings! But you can really tell that it is working. I used it on my chest twice a day and seriously within a week all my breakouts are gone and now I use it once a day on my face and chest and it is helping prevent new breakouts and helping the leftover acne scars (because I'm a picker) fade away.

5. For my back. This one was tricky because I can't reach back there! But I simply used the glycolic toner on breakout spots. If I couldn't reach I would ask DH.

6. Moisture. Argan oil is my best friend. Yes, the Josie Maran argan oil is expensive but I feel it is worth is because my skin was so so dry. I only use it at night and then I use a light, regular old fashion drug store moisturizer during the day.

Sorry for the novel, I am just so happy with how my skin has healed that I wanted to share with you all in case it works for someone else!

I'm having a beautiful boy then lol :p
My skin has been awfully dry, and hair growing super rapidly...both of which contributed to my intuition of baby boy in the first place.
Unfortunately thrush/yeast is very common in pregnancy, I've had that weeks ago as well. Gross lol
