Im 35 & mum to a beautiful little 4yr old girl. I was 30 & a month off the pill when I got pregnant with her & I've always felt blessed with how easy I got pregnant with her.

So here I am 5yrs later & off the pill 9mths. I guess I stupidly assumed I would get pregnant easily again, but it's just not happening yet.

Is anyone else going through this?

Yes :(
I havent been TTC for as long as you but I have found that I have a lot more worries this time especially about being older which really does not help. For example when my last AF arrived I burst into tears (not like me at all!) because I felt like I'd failed. My OH did not know what was going on bless him.

Ahh, made m  bless u lovely :hugs: xx wish you lots of luck xxx

With my first it took a yr. Its been a yr and a half with 2 cps and im no closer its quite disheartening. Everyone told me getting pg the 2nd time is easier but i think is harder. Wish i tried for kids when i was younger. Apparently for my age most ppl like 80 percent conceive within 2 yrs so i must be nearly there lol

Each month I have a little cry when AF arrives & I feel like she is on her way now 😫 I just feel like I'm not working properly. Cycles have been very regular since Jan & I'm getting ewcm mid cycle too. I've quite a healthy lifestyle- slim, never smoked, only ever have 2 glasses of wine on a fri & sat night, do moderate exercise, take conception tablets, try to eat healthy & 35 isn't exactly that old!

:hugs: I understand how you are feeling hun, I don't 'feel' old, I keep healthy like yourself etc. But because there is this thing of fertility declining after 35, you end up feeling a lot older than you really are.

I try and keep positive that I know a lot of woman that waited till they were older to have children and they have them etc so it's not possible but it may just take a little longer.

Have you seen a doctor yet as it's past 6 months?

No haven't seen a doctor yet. I guess part of me is really hoping it's just bad timing. I'm afraid to see a doctor in case they tell me something bad 😒

:hugs: I can understand that, I would feel the same. The positive news is that you've managed to conceive with your daughter so it's not possible. I don't think too much would have changed in the 4/5 years since you've had her.

I tell myself that it's harder this time I'm a lot busier these days and more tired than trying for my first as I'm trying to keep up with a very energetic and spirited 5 and a half year old :dohh:

HI ladies.
I saw your post so thought I'd just tell you.my story. I'm so lucky to have two daughters. Dd1 was easy to conceive and dd2 took her time.
Dd2 was conceived on the 4th or 5th cycle of ntnp. Then when she was 10 months old we decided to try for no 2. After 8 months of ntnp I got pregnant but had a Mc. I decided to try opk's which were successful as I got another bfp 3 months (2 cycles) after my Mc. This sadly ended in a mmc which was long. I finally got my sticky bfp 18 months after we started trying and I honestly was about to give up. UT I'm so lucky that I didn't and now I have Dd2. Whilst I was ttc no2 it really felt like forever.
