Just wondering if anyone has any experiences to share?

I did it was alright, a few of them were nice but I had one midwife in my room at one point when my bf went out and when I had contractions she didnt help or talk to me or anything I dont think there very friendly tbh but I felt in safe hands, I wouldnt want to be there if I didnt have a birth partner though I found the midwife unit I was transfered from were much nicer helpful friendlier etc :)

Neither myself nor anyone I know has experienced giving birth there (I live 180 miles away), however, I can honestly say that if the maternity unit is anything like as good as the general levels of care I witnessed a couple of years ago at Bath RUH, then you should be in good hands - I honestly think my 96 year old great aunt would have died if she'd have been admitted to many hospitals, however Bath treated her wonderfully both in terms of her physical health and how they treated her with dignity and respect.

Thanks for sharing ladies. I've been up to the epac at bath and they were great, very kind and the ladies at the delivery suite were nice when we went it to be monitored after I had loads of braxton hicks but since going up there I've heard a few stories about unsympathetic and unsupportive midwives and that's made me wonder.
