I have an underactive thyroid that is under control, but have read it can cause miscarriage. Hoping to hear that anyone with the same has had a healthy pregnancy!
Thanks

I've sub clinical hypothyroidism and so far so good. I'm on a small dose of synthroid (levothyroxine). For you you will just need extra monitoring to make sure your levels are appropriate so your LO will develop properly.

Hi. I have 2 boys and never had any thyroid complications during my pregnancies. Just had extra monitoring but nothing needed changing.

Currently 26 weeks into my third pregnancy and so far so good.

Thank you ladies, been quite worried about. What does "extra monitoring" entail? Is it just regular blood test?

Yep. Just blood test and perhaps extra ultrasounds to check your LOs development if needed.

I am on a higher dose of Levothyroxine (150mcg), and so far so good. They do check my TSH more often during pregnancy.

Me! I didn't find out until my 16 week blood tests but thankfully everything is fine. I'm on synthroid and getting monthly blood tests done now.

I had an underactive thyroid during pregnancy and i did not even know it my only problem was that i gained 30kg and my doctor was always shouting at me to stop eating when i wasnt. That's why he suspected. I am taking pills to regulate it now but My daughter is now 2years old and during my pregnancy nothing happened and i did not even control it , i just got very fat. Now after dieting i got to normal 56kg from 85kg. goodluck!!

I had an underactive thyroid, they just checked my levels a bit more often :)
Pregnancy was pretty good, did develop gestational hypertension but that is probably not related. Delivered at 39 weeks
