anyone had 2 MC's??

hi all-got married last july and in that space have had 2 MC's...last one was in May--have been trying ever since....hoping this cycle will be successful

how are the rest of u getting on??
I havent been for tests...have you??

This has not happend to me but my boyfriends mum had to mc close together but had no tests but the 3rd time she got pregnant everything was fine and had a healthy pregnancy and baby, x

Sorry for butting in... I had 2 mc's this year, started taking baby aspirin the end of April and got my bfp in may.. Am currently nearly 14 weeks, noticed u mentioned this so I thought I'd let u know it's working so far for me.. Touch wood x

Hi, I had one in March and one in June, am trying again soon. I am hoping it was just bad luck, and third time lucky! I don't feel like there is anything wrong with my cycle. I haven't had tests as in the UK, you have to have 3 to get looked at.

Sorry to hear of your MC's hun. I also had two, one in March 2009 & then the next in July 2010.
I've not been for tests yet either, they like to see 3 here before they do anything xx

i have had 2 mc one in march 09 sec aug 09 also had a neonatal death in 03 i just been for tests and got my results in may just their turns our i have pcos and antiphospholipid syndrome its a mild form of lupus we have been trying and no luck yet x

First off I am very sorry for your losses

I have also had two- one Oct 2009 at 7 weeks and another in April 2010 at well we thought 7 wks 2 days but truned out I was much earlier- more like 4 to 5 weeks


you have to have 3 in order to be sent to a fertility specialist here in the states- I have had SOME blood work done but nothing really out of the ordinary except for low progestrone..... however, DH has not been tested yet and I do not know WHY

Hi there, ive just had my 2nd miscarriage. It started yesterday at 5w+4. One before that was end of June at 5w+3, didnt have a period in between falling . Gutted thats its happened twice in a row, am now worried there is something else wrong with me (had blocked tubes previously that were unblocked during surgery). Have just bought some baby aspirin to try. Hope to god it was just bad luck.

What is baby aspirin? Does a doctor prescribe it?

You can get aspirin in tescos, its just called aspirin now its low dose 75mg. I know it can help with ladies who have recurrent miscarriages. A lot of women i speak to on another forum have sworn by it getting them their successful pregnancies. So i thought i would give it a try.

ive had 2mc this year one after another with no af inbetween. have just got my first af since the 2nd mc in july so will be ttc now and am hoping for a bfp in sept. havent been offered any tests but have been offered an early scan again by epu, they sed call them as soon as i find out im pg.

I've had two and my doctor has luckily sent me for tests before I may end up having a third as I have a difficult medical history with ovary problems.

I'm steering clear of baby asprin until my doctor recommends it though. It is still a drug at the end of the day and is prescribed to women who have miscarries specifically for clotting reasons so I'm not going to risk harming myself or any potential pregnancy by taking it without instruction.

Hi I have had 3 miscarriages so far. Nov 09 9 wks, April 12wks scan showed baby had died about 8 wks, June 6wks. My doctor has now got me an appointment for the recurrent miscarriage clinic but it isnt until sept 23rd. I would suggest that people dont take the baby asprin unless it has been prescribed to you by the doctor I have read that if you take the wrong dose you can end up harming the baby and yourself.

Thanks for all the replies--was at a wedding all day yesterday so couldnt reply......one of you mentioned about taking aspirin before getting pregnant----I was kind of told (by a friend of a friend) not to start taking it until I got a positive pregnancy test...xx

I was told it helps prepare your womb for implantation, with me I could get pregnantbut baby wouldn't stick. I'm by No means telling you to take it without speaking to your doctor, I'm just saying I took it and it worked so far for me. Good luck xx

What an interesting thread. Thanks ladies this has made me realise that I'm not on my own.

I had a mc in April and then one in July all early before 6 weeks and really want the next one to stick. Hoping I fall pregnant this cycle or next and then if not I'm off to the doctors even if they send me away I'll feel like I have started the ball rolling.

Fingers crossed for sticky ones soon to us all x

Hi Girls,

I have also had 2 losses, 1st was Sept 09 mmc at 10/11 weeks (stopped growing around wk 7), then I had 1 cycle and got pregnant again, but had a loss at 5.5 wks. We have had a break from TTC since Xmas and this is our first month back trying.

I am apprehensive but I think I have also made the personal decision that if it happened a 3rd time then I can't put myself through this again, I will take it as not my path in life. But I am trying to be positive that it will be 3rd time lucky for us too. x xx

I'm sorry CJ about your second loss. Its not your fault and in a weirdly reassuring way your body is actually making sure everything is perfect before it proceeds. Doesn't make it easier. Im ttc after 2 m/c's one in April, a period then again in June, I had a period again last month and now in tww. I didn't intentially not try, just didn't catch the months after miscarriage. Hoping to get a sticky perfect one!
