anyone had a phone line put in recently

I am hoping to get a phone line put in and was wondering what costs are involved. We dont need it for calls just for broadband as the mobile internet signal is getting worse in our area. Has anyone had a line put in recently that can give me a rough guide to price.

We did about a year and a half ago and will be shortly as moving again

We moved to a property that didn't have a phone line and BT wanted to charge £125 to install it. I got in touch with Sky and they charged £10 to do it. The bizarre thing is, it's BT that do it for you. This was two years ago. I also don't use it for phone, just the internet.

yes, bt charge a set price, sky will probably better it even though sky will use bt to put it in lol.

Ours was put in last year and did it with sky because they only charged £10 to put it in and yeah they used bt to put it in x
