Hello! I had a successful ECV last year. Second pregnancy and baby had been breech for many weeks. The procedure was complete within a minute with only the final few seconds hurting. They scan you before to check what position baby is in. Sophie wasn't in an ideal position so they had me walk around the ward and scanned again in 10 minutes. Scanned again and she was in a good position for the consultant to move her so I got into position. Laid on my back with my legs at the head end of the bed, raised. They then gave me an injection in the thigh to relax the uterus and started straight away, scanning the whole time. I felt pressure on my tummy while the consultant slowly moved her around. I couldn't actually feel Sophie move. The only point that did hurt was the last few seconds when her head dropped into my pelvis. I was encouraged to use gas and air but felt it wasn't needed but used it anyway. Felt a little shaky after but I think that was a mixture of relief and happiness that she was finally head down so I could have a natural birth. The following day I did feel a bit uncomfortable. Tummy felt bruised but it wasn't. It also felt very odd to have Sophie head down where I hadn't felt the pressure before! Sophie was born a week and 2 days late, naturally

Hope this helps, feel free to ask questions!
