Anyone had internal bleeding after a section?

My mum's friend's daughter had her twins on Sunday by c-section. She had to have 2 blood transfusions and has ended up back in theatre all afternoon today with internal bleeding. The last news I heard was that they were removing her spleen.

Has anyone had this? I'm just worried about her and hoping she is going to be ok x

Thank you, I hope so. My mum just said she is just out of theatre and into HDU and will be in hospital for a week. x

She was doing a bit better and was transferred back to the hospital where the babies are (she'd been moved on christmas day to another hospital) but today she's taken a turn for the worse and been taken back to the other hospital and her mum said it's touch and go as to whether she will make it - seriously worried now x

I really hope so too, I am so scared for her, and those poor little twins if anything does happen to her. Fingers crossed there is something they can do, in this day and age. xx

The last I heard last night was that she was in a side ward by the nurses' station, and was stable and sleeping. That has to be slightly better news, right? My mum didn't think it sounded much better but if she's stable that's got to be a good sign. Thank you for asking xxx

That sounds like she is doing much better now!! I'm so relieved to hear it!! Having a baba especially twins should be a happy time. Hope she has a speedy recovery so she can get on to enjoy being a mummy to her babies xx
