Anyone had problems with Ranitidine?

Hi everyone, as you probably know my LO has been suffering with suspected silent reflux and as a result not taking a great volume of milk resulting in her being 'small' and below 0.4th centile. At our consultant apt on Monday they increased the dose of Ranitidine she was on, doubling it. We were told to wait a week and increase again if no improvement. However since changing to larger dose (albeit only 2 days ago) she has dramatically reduced her milk intake, is complaining much more than before - refusing bottle in mouth after only 40mls, kicking legs in anger, trying to pull herself up to sitting and screaming out in what i'm sure is pain. I stop feeding her and a few minutes later she's chewing on her hands and crying for food! Could she be reacting badly to the ranitidine? Seems strange she is so bad after uping dose?

could it be teething rather than the ranitidine?x

Thanks for reply! Think you are right! Was convinced she may be teething as red cheeks but no temp, hands in mouth, grisly and drooling more but thought may be too early - she's 5 months now and my little boy was teething then but wasn't sure if it changed with prematurity? Also been Google mad today and reflux supposedly much worse when teething! Not sure what to do - she wont feed well and she's already small - needs all the calories she can get!

You could try baby bonjela a few mins before a feed, I found that helped x
