Please tell me about your experience, how long it took to start working, what age you started, how/where you did it etc... Thank you!

I have a 15 week severe reflux baby, fully medicated, wakes every 30 minutes at night and 20 in the day. Massively reliant on my rocking but it's becoming impossible as he's nearly 7kg. Trying PuPd in his swing as he needs motion. Day 2 and some success after around 15 Pu/Pds!

I may get some shit for this but have you tried putting him on his tummy? My dd had terrible reflux and we tried everything to get her to sleep, the only successful thing was tummy sleeping. My ds (who's 4 weeks) has been on reflux meds since day 9 is now a tummy sleeper too. We tried rocking, elevated crib but didn't work. As soon as he's on his tummy he's asleep. Can feed burp and put him down awake. Xxx

I did pupd with dd when she was little. I'm pretty sure it is for babies 4 months plus - but some over that age still find it too stimulating. We used shhh-pat at first. Pupd worked for us closer to 6 months.

Good luck - my ds is only 11lbs but rocking him kills my back - even when sitting down! Hope you find something that keeps you both happy :)

We tried pupd with dd1 at about 10 months to teach her to self settle but it didnt work, ssh-pat worked much better for her as being put down seemed to wake her up more.
Dd2 has always been easier to settle so if she cries at night i tend to just pick her up, give her a wee cuddle then put her down. Usually this is enough to calm her and she goes back to sleep but occasionally i do pat her tummy for a minute or so afterwards. This has worked on her since about 8/9 months xx
