anyone had their baby at nottingham city hospital?

Following My son was born at QMC, but going to city this time. They do seem lovely there! x

I did Back in January 2012. I'll be having my second there in April ish. Can't fault them.. My son was born small and induced early. They were perfect. We had a private room for a week. Only small gripes about them x

I had my LO there in Febuary 2012 and due to be having my 2nd LO there next April!

I can't fault them the midwives were all fantastic!!! The labour suite especially was great!

Only thing I would say is after care on the wards after wasn't particular great but it wasn't bad either! Xx

Yes I think they do but only 1 if I remember? Maybe looking it up in the nhs website x

Anyone else? Ive read some scary reviews on aftercare. Can you take your own snacks in to eat? X

I had my dd there in Oct 2012. I had a emcs and the midwives were great throughout. The after care was fine in that they did the best with the limited resources they have. No real gripes about the midwives just the state of the NHS making them so short staffed they were run ragged. Having my ds there in Jan/Feb 2015 x

Eta yes you can take snacks in fact I would recommend it. I was really hungry as was in for 5 days especially with bf

I had my daughter there in 2010 as we live round the corner.
had amazing midwifes,when I arrived there at 8cm and got straight in the pool so I also got my birth plan had great communication with them afterwards as it was my 1st and I was even allowed in the hotel but because I didnt get upto the hotel intil 5.30am they let us have a room for free. X

Would you recommend the pool. Its something im considering. Im also considering an epidural. I dont want to try diamorphine etc. Dont want to feel sick dopey and dizzy.
