https://postimg.org/image/pzmgi3dbx/I'm a new mom and have decided to only breastfeed. I do pump milk and Nathan was taking the bottle with my milk his first month but out of the nowhere stopped taking it. He's 3 Months now and does not want the bottle. I've bought different bottles and he doesn't take none of them nor the passafiers. He cries and I feel like he shocks on them...he always ends up on my boob. Any mom went trough this? What did you guys do?

:hugs:

Have you tried having someone else feed him? Lots of babies won't take bottles from their moms (especially early on) because they know the boob is nearby. You could also dip the nipple in milk first, so that baby can taste the breast milk right when it goes in his mouth.

Hope that helps - good luck!

I think you just have to persevere, try a little bit every day or as often as you can and definitely get someone else to give it. My older two were both like this and I eventually got them on the bottle at five months. My youngest has also been reluctant to take a bottle so I suspect we will have the same problem.

Have you tried paced bottle feeding? Bottles are far easier to get milk from and breastfed babies are used to having to work to get the milk out so they can end up getting overwhelmed by the amount that comes out xx

My second was like this. She only had, maybe, 3 bottles in her first year and each time was given to her by her dad or my parents. She would only give in after fighting and crying for an extended time, but I was gone and she needed to eat. :( I wish I would have kept pushing, though, because being the ONLY one she would eat from was very tiring on me.
