So, We went in for IUI yesterday, and I was very hopeful and excited... but we were told our odds of conceiving this month were about 1/2 what they would be due to my FSH levels (so like 5%)...

At CD3 blood draw I was 12.6 (within "normal" range, but high side)... then CD10 I was 14.1 (borderline range)... I guess my levels should have gone down more after being on Clomid from CD5-9, but they didn't. So that makes it harder for us to conceive- even with help.

Any other women out there with higher FSH and still got prego using IUI with Clomid?

I know this is only our first cycle of IUI and we can do up to 4 cycles... but part of me wonders if injectables would be better if my levels continue to be too high???

Guess I'm just looking for some hope as I'm having a moment because I'm over thinking it all... LOL...

Thanks ladies :flower:

Seoj, my FSH levels were highish - more than the lab's recommended 9 (mine was 9.6, i think ever lab has a different high and low). So they went ahead and did AMH levels and also looked at no. of resting follicles. Both those looked ok, so they said overall it was not a cause of worry.

I don't have a good answer fr you..but i thought I'd share the additional things that can be done.

Thanks for the info... we had my levels checked at a Fertility Specialist lab- so I might see if they can run those other tests though next time I get blood work? Just in case...?

Seoj- maybe you can go to BFP or 1st trimester and ask some ladies over there if any of them had that issue.. maybe find some success stories or suggestions?

Oooh yea, that's a good idea ;) Thanks girl!
