I have hypermobile joints have had since a kid !! i have never had to have the strapped well yet anyways ! i have been quiite lucky that i onlt ever dislocate fingers and toes and only a few times really..

it did cause issues when pregnant as when preggers we all release relaxin which for me meant i have severe spd and have had to have an operation to put my pelvis back together !!!

i have physio quite regulary tho :hugs:

I have joint hypermobility as well. Only diagnosed with it officially about a year ago, but have had it all my life. Never needed strapping, but it sure explains why my knees were so bad when I was pregnant - forever twisting and hurting. The relaxin hormone certainly doesn't help matters!

I have partial hypermobility. It affects my lower half.. particularly my hips which I can painlessly dislocate at will & sometimes it happens when walking. It doesnt bother me.. however it happens at the most absurd times.. eg. sex :haha:

The only problem I have is the funny looks I get when it happens xD

My Dh has it and so have some of his family members. And it looks like the twins both have it :) xxx

your poor husband and twins sorry to hear they have in, mine causes me alot of agony on alot of pain meds and need to see a spcialist to sort out my bones and joints, not fun at all... can't walk much anymore either :( mines started when i was about 8 and had to give up dancing and such.... i really hope your twins don't get it bad, only seems to be the girls in my family that get it, my mother has it, grandmother and great grandmother all have it. my sister who is still very young has it too, my son doesn't show any signs of it though i don't think. i really hope he's not got it.
