My daughter was born at 39weeks by "elective" C-section due to her being breech. She is now 15w, almost 16w old. I haven't been to the doctors yet as they are useless here and just put you on a waiting list for the midwife, then she sees you at 8/9w...

I'm just wondering if there's anyone here who has had a Csec and then gotten pregnant so soon after, and was everything ok/healthy. How was/is the pregnancy? Did you/will you go on to have another Csec?

I hope there's someone on here in, been in, or know someone in a similar situation! :flower:

I was told to wait a min 18 months but I've seen people get pregnant right away and everything was fine. If I do have more kids it will def be another elective c-section.

I wasn't told to wait at all. I will probably have to have another seeing as it's so soon after the first but I had a great experience, much better than I thought and I would like another C-section now because I'm as scared of a vaginal birth now as I was for a C-sec before I had one! :haha:

First of all congratulations!
i have a c-section in 7 days time for my breech baby. i have read that you should wait for 18 months but i haven't been told that yet. Ill be asking on Friday when i see the consultant. You can still go and see your GP to ask questions even if it will be a while until you see a mw.

Congrats!!
Theres a couple of people in the support group in my sig who have had babies close together after a section and been fine (one lady who's user name is 'you&me') im sure they will answer any questions you have :) x

im pregnant 6 months after my last section, ive had 2 sections and have been ok'd to try for a vbac also. everything is fine so far im 37 weeks

My son is five and a half months old, and I'm 10 weeks pregnant. I basically got pregnant when he was 15 weeks old, lol. My doctors are all fine with it. I will have another c-section, but was given the option of VBAC. PM me if you have any questions. I love my OB. xoxo

I believe I was told the vbac would only be an option if the pregnncies were 18 months apart, meaning any sooner would be another C.

Even after 3 yrs, things have changed and i'll still have to have a C.

I'm quite happy to have another Csec and given the option. I would opt for it in favour of a VBAC, although I never thought I'd feel that way BEFORE I'd had my Csec. I'm terrified of a vaginal birth now... Fear of the unknown I think, and I have major anxiety issues and don't think I'd cope well in labour.

Thank you so much, ladies! I feel much more positive now. :hugs:

well.. my baby is 13 months (almost) and im not planning any more just yet, think the longer u go without getting preg the more likely u are to have a natural i think

Hi,

Yes me, my daughter turned 1 Friady 13th July and this baby is due 8th August (thats my c section date) i was pregnant by the time my daughter was 16 weeks, ive had no problems, i too was worried about such a small gap between sections but there seems to be no concern.
Im having a elective this time after an emergency one with my little girl, ive had too see the consultant 3 times this pregnancy as wel as my midwife, thats because i had Pre Eclampsia last time too but thats the only difference really

Hope to help
DD XX

I was also told to wait 18 months between each delivery. I also had to have a csection due to baby boy being breech.

Now, I am pregnant with twins. No chance of a VBAC.

Me too, and there are so many more like us! We're screwing up the stats for the anti-c section people who insist doctors are forcing medical interventions on us.

My Daughter was about 5 months old when I found I was pregnant again :baby:

I will be honest, my latest csection was the hardest, but I think that was more because it was my 4th

'youandme' had no problems with her csection that was soon after her last one :winkwink: Good luck

Have any of you ladies had spotting then? I've been having brown/orange spotting on and off for 5 days... I'm so worried but I've been told by MW that there's nothing they can do at just 8 weeks anyway and I've got my first appointment with her next Friday! They're so insensitive here. I hate the healthcare system in my area, they're pathetic tbh. I've had 4 MC's before I had my DD so I'm scared this is going to end the same.
