anyone starting/been on the short protocol

i am starting the short antagonist protocol in 4 weeks time and know nothing of the medication so have a few questions if you dont mind

1) possible side effects
2) will it be pre filled ready to go or do i have mix things
3) should i receive everything i need in one prescription
4) can the drugs cause false bfp s
5) time of day there usually taken

Hi, I did the SP and it was much easier than I expected it to b. Only side effects were headaches. I was on puregon and orgalutron. I just had to click the puregon pen up to 150 which was dead easy. The only thing I had to mix was the injection 36 hrs before egg collection,which wasn't too bad. My clinic told me you tend to get less eggs on SP but better quality,but I still got 14 eggs. I got all the meds in one prescription. I did all injections on an evening.

I did the short protocol and used Buserelin as the DR drug and Puregon as the stim, the puregon was in a pen, so dead easy and I had to fill the syring myself for the Buserelin, but no mixing. My trigger shot was a ore-filled syring of Ovidrel. I picked my drugs up from the clinic, but that would vary from clinic to clinic - as would the drug regime, even on the same protocol.

Side effects were bloating and a slight weight gin (2kgs/4lbs)

Only the trigger shot can cause a false BFP, but the shoul be out of your system in abot 10 days - you could use ICs tp test it out of your system!

I took the Buserelin at 7.15am and 7.5pm and the puregon at 7.15pm too. The trigger shot was 36 hours before egg collection - so would be any time betweem 8pm and midnight - agin, this varies from clinic to clinic.
