Anyone still here.....been trying 4 years

Just wondering if anyone still here from a couple of years ago.

I had to come of the site for a while, as I was getting too depressed with trying and needed to have a break from the forums.

Well I am still trying, with no success so far, however I have finally started shifting the weight so I can be re referred, as the nhs basically told me to go away and come back with a bmi of 30. So far I have lost 3 stone 4lb since january and need a further 10lb and then I can get the appointment and hopefully treatment that I need.

How is everyone else getting on with their journey?

I have been trying for a baby with my husband for 3 plus years. I have very abnormally long periods that range anywhere from heavy one day to just spotting the next. Either way, I basically am constantly bleeding. It is super frustrating. I have been through multiple rounds of Clomid/Femara/Metformin with my OBGYN. Nothing ever even made me ovulate until he gave me Gonal-F injections with an HCG trigger shot. I definitely ovulated with that, but it resulted in a BFN. Ultrasounds showed that I have multiple cysts on both of my ovaries. My Prolactin levels were out of whack when he checked them and if I ever take an ovulation test, they always come back positive. Definitely something to do with my LH levels being off, too. I lost insurance after my first and only round with the injections and I am just now getting it back. I was finally referred to an RE and will see him about 45 days from now.

I bet that is frustrating, constantly bleeding. Must be a nightmare. So do you think your next step is ivf?

I have normal 27-28 day cycles, progesterone levels have been 34 and 28 on my day 21 bloods so maybe low? Even tho doc said 30 or above means ovulation happened. I go to have them checked this month to see if it has improve since I have lost the weight. I have had my womb and ovaries checked and fine. I have had my tubes checked and all fine. Nhs told me they would not give me comix or anything until bmi 30 so got to keep going

Yes I know what you mean. We used to put everything on hold, holidays and stuff. I've stopped that now. It's so frustrating not having an answer. I just want to know if I can have a baby or not then try to move forward

It so is! I have stopped entering races and hard training. Its difficult watching half my friends having babies and the other half are fit and racing and training loads. I don't feel I belong in either at the mo. I'm the same, just wanna know why. I hope we get some answers. I am the same as you, all is normal.

I'm really not sure what my RE will do. Since I have only ever been to an OBGYN, I am sure my RE is going to want to run a lot of tests and check hormone levels and then decide on where to go from there. The whole process is just so frustrating. Praying we both get our BFP soon!!!
