I had to be swabbed earlier for the possibility of leaking fluid, my first test was positive and then they did it again and it was negative. So i had a u/s done to check the fluid around the baby which was ok. It didn't have a whole lot come out but it was enough to cover my undies and go through my thick pj pants. I smelt it and it wasn't pee, and was clear. No other discharge with it or anything. It wasn't a lot if my water had broke, but it was A LOT for just discharge.
Given i had one positive and one negative i'm not to sure it wasn't fluid :dohh:. Just didn't know if anyone had been in the same situation before???

Didn't want to R&R but I'm not entirely sure. It seems kind of odd that it would come back positive with one test and negative with another. What made them re-test to begin with? How long was it between tests?

I see that you're in the US, I would definitely follow up with your OB/midwife asap and see if they can closely monitor you just to be safe.

They did the same test twice, they swabbed my but the solution on it and it turned blue. Which is positive and they did it again but I don't feel they swabbed in far enough in like they did the first time. But that one came up negative. It make no sense to me at all!!

Yes I've been swabbed... yes I was leaking - they didn't re-swab me at all though. Waters went completely under 24 hours later and I was found to be almost fully dilated.

Well i had 1 time enough to cover my undies and go through my thick pj pants, but since my discharge has been watery. Nothing major or anything. But i was worried with all the contractions i have been having since last Wednesday night into Thursday morning, and as of last Thursday i was 2cm dilated 30% effaced and she could feel baby's head. It was just odd...
I don't know why they retested me??
That happened Sunday and its now Tuesday so i'm sure if it was my water i would have had a lot more leak by now...
I've been really really crampy for 2 days now with contractions still coming and going. All of a sudden they will hit me at 3 minutes apart for a few hours then slow down to 4 or 5 minutes apart until they are not worth timing anymore but still have them.
Just wore out and was nervous about my water leaking not to mention scared to take a bath and risk infection!

See the second they found I was leaking they declared my vagina a no-go zone (from what I understood from the world's most incomprehensible doctor whose English was not good at all). They wouldn't even examine me to check my cervix after that point to see if I was dilating at all - hence me doing 8cm's worth of an un-diagnosed labour (stupid trace machine said I wasn't and they believed it) on two bloody paracetamol before things went pop and they let me loose on the gas and air.

I'd be bugging for another opinion if you're getting pains as well though - it was only the fact I was getting period-type cramps at regular intervals (think they were 5 minutes) that had made me ring up the hospital to be checked out anyway (I was 33 weeks at the time).

The last 2 days I have had cramps but it hasn't been anything that comes and goes it has been like this nonstop for now the second day. Along with continuing to contract and some horrible cervix pain at times.
I think that just next time I get regular contractions for a hour I'm going to go to the hospital regardless if I think it's nothing. I'm to the point I do t know what to believe and think I have my gut saying one thing my head Andover and the dr something different.
I have been Doing a lot of googling today which I know sometimes isn't good but I think I have figured out I have been experiencing "false labor" but it says yet shouldn't never be regular and mine aren't always regular but a do have any where from a few to several hours a day were yet are very regular and each session thy get stronger.
I just don't know what to do anymore.
