Anyone taking 5mg folic acid have a longer cycle than usual...

Its my first cycle being prescribed 5mg of folic acid. Usually my AF arrives day 29, day 31 pushing it. I'm now nearly on CD 34 and have no sign of my AF and i know i'm not pregnant because i took a test yesterday and it was as white as snow. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this because its driving me crazy.

Folic acid is a water soluble vitamin. It's doesn't have a physiological effect, it more so works at the cellular levels. It shouldn't have any effect on a cycle.

Sometimes cycles just vary. Did you have more stress this cycle? Maybe that could be it?

I see.. i'm just trying to find a way to explain why AF has not come really and thats the only thing that has changed this cycle so i thought that might be it.. can't think of anything else that could have caused it, ahh well will just have to wait and see, thanks for your reply
