Hi everyone,

I've read about Vitex (Agnus Castus) on the internet and Am honestly tempted to try.
Sooo... was wondering if any of you tried it and what was the outcome, side effects, etc?

Would really like more information and also some "real" feedback before going for it.

Thank y'all!

Following!! I would like to know the same!! :-)

I had a mc in September last year so I decided to take vitex in October. I noticed a lot of cm, very ewcm and watery some days so that was an improvement. However I only used it for a month due to my reading that it will counteract the effects of clomid if taking it and needed to be out of my system for at least 3 months (think that's long term vitex takers though). I got a natural period in December so I wonder if it contributed. (I do not have natural periods so it was a surprise lol). Don't disregard vitex, I bought mine off amazon for £6 for 3 months worth (green bottle). Worth a try.

Good luck xx

Hey hun I would do a thread search and/or post your question in the pregnancy forums as there are a lot of gals on there who are pregnant with vitex babies including myself, Brittbs, wtbm, sweetpotatopi, sis4us, earthmamma, leinzlove and many more. It doesn't work for everyone and i'm sure destiny08 and a couple of other gals in the ttc forum will chime in with their experiences but the thing is that most of the gals that got their bfp's don't return to ttc so they can't speak for their experiences. Most of the ladies in this forum are still ttc and so you may get a better variety of responses from all the forums to answer about success since they have had a chance to see what worked for them...just a thought and good luck

Hello!! I just had to make an account to tell you about my story on vitex!! I'm currently not trying to have a baby right now I am only 21 and newly engaged but I have very irregular periods and painful painful periods too! I've tried birth control but my body does not want it ! Rejects it every time I try new ones. Then I thought my periods cannot be normal if they are 45 days apart:( I didn't want to mess up my chances of having kids when the time was right so I've looked into natural options and vitex seemed to stick out!

So now I have gotten vitex after reading about it for weeks and started with 400mg twice a day which actually turned to be too Much for my body. I had upset stomachs, heartburn, headaches... So I figured this wouldnt work for me, but I didn't want to give up just yet. I then lowered my dosage to just once a day. Now I feel great and I now notice on day 18 I am ovulating!!!!! I feel it and I see it!! I usually ovulate On day 30!!!! I've only been taking vitex chastee tree for a few weeks!! I started on CD 5 because you shouldn't take it during your period! But since then I notice a difference abd recommend it to anyone who have been having difficult periods!!! I'm so confident now that when I do decide to get pregnant, I have a better shot now!!! I hope this helps anyone out there!!!! Good luck to you !

Thank you for your reply.
I have natural periods, but very irregular and really long cycles, and also not much ewcm.
Sooo if vitex at the very least makes the cycles shorter I'm more than happy to try! :winkwink:
If you had your period naturally after taking it I'd assume it did something good, and hopefuly it might work for me too!

Were you on clomid when you got your BFP?

I really appreciate your help! :winkwink:
My cycles are also around 45 days usually (apart from when they go crazy and are even longer) and I really want to make them shorter.
I didn't think vitex would work on the first cycle... that sounds brilliant!
Will most definitely give it a try!

Actually you're quite right...
Will post on the pregnancy forums... will certainly find some information there!
It is great to hear of so many vitex babies though! Looking forward to hear from you girls! :winkwink:

Getting really excited about trying vitex now! :happydance:

Thank you!

Vitex caused me a 70 day anovulatory cycle :-(

Sorry it didn't work for you.
That's my biggest concern too, that it'll mess up my cycles. But as my cycles are already long and irregular as they are I decided to give it a try, and started vitex, dong quai and epo a few days ago.
Lets see how it goes! :winkwink:
