I decided to buy one tonight. It's supposed to add support and relieve some of those pregnancy pains. Plus, it helps to define your bump. The one I got goes over bump and under bump... So, its like you are holding your bump all the time...

Hi, I got one to help with ligament pain. I find it really helps when I'm out and about and is quite comfy. The only problem is it gets quite hot! Think I'll be back in it again soon when the weather cools and bump expands! x

Hey. I've been thinking about getting a support belt what is a good one anybody could recommend?

Mine is like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Maternity-...04051&sr=8-13&keywords=pregnancy+support+belt

I don't use the bit over the top of the bump though, now they've started kicking its one of their fave areas! x

I'm trying it on and off to see if it will help with my SPD. It gives good back support, but no relief from spd though.

That's the same one I got. I got it on eBay for $20.99 from a USA seller. I have no recommendations as I haven't tried it yet.

Yes try the Cantaloop- it's material is light so it doesn't make you hot but its very supportive!

The pictures obviously show the lady in knickers as well but its just the support belt itself. Its very good

That looks more comfy than the one I bought! :)

Both of those look great, but what stage are they most practical? I'm only 14+5 (with twins so bigger than expected for that stage) but the pains i'm having are making me so sore! When they get really bad , like last night, when i turn in my sleep it wakes me and it makes me cry i then have a dull ache for days afterwards from it. I found that wearing my maternity jeans (over the bump even though i don't quite fill them yet lol) support me more around the hip area even though my bump is not huge, and i'm wondering if either of those might be what i need? x

They say from 5 months. (You aren't far off and are probably there with twins.) Can't hurt!

I started using mine around 20 weeks, when I began to get uncomfortably crampy during walks. Being pregnant with twins, you're probably already pretty close to needing that kind of support. It helps, but mind you, it can get hot under there. The one I have is quite similar to the one Pinkie 33 linked to. I would recommend it.\

Thanks ladies I shall start my investigation into one I think x

I started wearing it at about 16/17 weeks when my ligament pain was at its worst. The midwife measured my bump on Friday and said I measure the same as a singleton mum at 33 weeks! No wonder it feels heavy and there's a long way to go yet :haha:

After another night of excruciating pain from what ever ligament or muscle is getting strained on my right hand side i relented and bought a belly support band today from mothercare! Instantly feel the pressure lift a little as soon as i put it on! Tomorrow wearing for a whole day will be the test to see if it really does help.

I got the full band type for now but may invest in the more unattractive velcro under belly band with the strap over the bump if this doesn't maintain support x

I actually tried a couple on today and it really made my back feel great. I ended up getting a belly sleeve. So I can wear my scrubs since maternity scrubs are so expensive.

I was thinking of picking one up. I am going to San Diego with hubby and his family in September, and by then, I will be about 6.5 months pregnant. I think a maternity belt would be ideal for all the walking we'll be doing around Sea World. I will have to look at the ones suggested :)
