I've been googling on natural methods to stop bleeding, as my midwife wants me to have a managed third stage labour - I'd rather wait until placenta is delivered naturally and then consider synometrine IF I do bleed excessively.

But I'd like to do everything I can to prevent / stop bleeding naturally, i.e. by breast feeding, skin to skin, Shepherds Purse if supposed to be effective for PPH and especially fibroids

I know nothing about this but am very interested. I have concerns about pph also.... if I find any good info Ill be sure to share it with you!

Interested too - I had a PPH after #3. (induced labour @ 36 weeks, ventouse, direct OP delivery).

Desperate to avoid another PPH this time.

No idea how true it is, but I heard someone say that putting a chunk of raw placenta in your cheek pouch is the best way to stop a PPH.

I haven't found out much

This article to say it's been used.

That nettle tea can help as it contains calcium and vitamin k, both needed to aid clotting?

I have heard about biting down on the placenta
