Hi ladies!
I am new to these forums, its a really nice way of sharing different stories :)

So just though I would create a new thread as a way of introducing myself more and finding out if anyone is using a duofertility monitor at the moment.

So, I have one little boy already, who is the most perfect little thing in the whole wide world, me and my husband were ttc him for over 2 years, it was the most emotional time of my life, I suppose as women we can take it for granted that we can all just have babies and fall pregnant quickly. I was diagnosed with pcos and prescribed clomid.

After 2 years we were ready to start ttc baby number 2! We have been trying for about 8 months now and it has brought back all of them emotions and dissappointment (yes, doing about 20 pregnancy tests each cycle! each one I would sit in hope). So after a lot of talks with the hubby we decided to invest in this ovulation monitor called duofertility, pricey, but worth it. It is not the most attractive thing in the world and a slight passion killer :P

I was just wondering if anyone has used it or is using it and also wanting to get to know many more of you. Sometimes men just do not understand how we feel and you need to talk to people who understand. Hope your all well and Looking forward to geting to know you all.

Joy xx

Hi.
I'm new to these forums too.
I have just bought my Duofertility monitor. It should arrive tomorrow! It gives me new hope. It hopefully will also take the pressure off me and DH too.
We have been trying for #2 for a few months. I have long, very irregular cycles.
I really hope the Duofertility works for both of us. Please keep me posted on how you get on. It would be nice to have someone else to chat too. My DH is very supportive but I think he gets fed up with me as I find the waiting and disappointment hard to take.
I've lost count of how many pregnancy tests I've taken! Because my cyces are so irregular, every time I get a BFN, I still manage to convince myself I might still pregnant but just have tested too early.
Let me know how you get on with the monitor. :flower:

Hey! will be ab to chat and compare notes ;)
The monitor is great, the only problem i've had is that apparently i was going to ovulate and a particular date and then I spoke to a fertility expert who said i had not ovulated! So slightly confused as my temp has gone up and up (which apparetnly is a sign of pregnancy) and I literally done a test about an hour ago and it appeared to be positive but I do not believe it. for starters it has only been 27 days since last period, my periods are never ever that quick in coming! argh, just so confused and stressed out, ttc is literally the most stressful thing ever! haha.

You will be fine though hun, and you will love the monitor, it makes you feel more in tume with your body. I know how dissappointing it all is :( having a period is so depressing because you know you have to wait another few months for the next and there is no telling when ovulation will be!

We will get there! How old is you little one??

Ooooh, that's interesting!!! Have you made an appointment with your doctor? They will do another test to confirm. I don't want to get your hopes up but I always thought a + test means BFP!!! I hope so!!! :happydance: Please let me know how you get on. I hardly get cycles that close together (mine are sometimes 60 days) but I did get one random 28 day cycle, so it can happen!
My daughter is 16 months. She's lovely!!

hey hun How are you? did your monitor come????

I done about 10 other tests this morning and throughout the day and they were all negative :( oh well. One warning about the pregnancy tests that come with the monitor though, if you use them and they are positive buy a more reliable one just to double check ;D

my cycles are roughly the same as yours I suppose, they can range from 32 days to 70 days! Ridiculous really isn't it! It would be cool to keep in contact though and share stuff, you will know more than anyone about how depressing this can all be, but hopefully one day it will all be worth it when we have our baby's in our arms :)

How was your first pregnancy? xxx

Hello!

I'm sorry to hear about your negative pregnancy tests.:sad1:
I was really hopeful for you. Extra baby dust to you!:dust:
I hope you are OK.

The long cycles are really rubbish aren't they?! I hate waiting so long between cycles.

My DH just got his little swimmers tested! Turns out they don't swim so well! They are 'boarderline' (whatever that means). I've been nagging him to cut down on his cycling, but he's quiet reluctant.

The good news is the Duofertitlity monitor arrived and is all set up. Can't wait to get into the green days!:happydance:

My first pregnancy was great. I enjoyed it (but maybe I'm seeing it through rose-tinted glasses because I want it so badly again!) I didn't get much morning sickness and had no major problems. How about you?

hello ladies,
do you know if the duofertility works with clomid?
Have you bought it with a money back guarantee - I have read this in forums??? but I cannot see this on the website - was this a special offer? Can you tell me more about it?

thanks

Hello!
I've just had a look on the website and under the 'Frequently Asked Questions' page, it sayd you can use DF with Clomid. I'm not sure how if this affects the money back guarantee thought. It might be worth calling them or emailing them to check. The money back guarantee is still on. I only bought mine a few days ago.
I got mine with the money back guarantee but I hope to not have to use it!
xx

of course, I would be the same but it is reassuring to know that they have a guarantee in case it doesn't work.
I will give them a call and see what they say about clomid. I don't really feel that I need it as I have unexplained infertility. And the side effects are making me feel miserable ...

How are you finding the monitor? can you feel the sensor under your arm?

Hi
Can't feel a thing!! So far, it's been easy to use. I think it takes a few cycles to start working properly though.
Do you mind me asking how long you have been TTC? How long have you been on Clomid? I have a hospital appointment tomorrow to see why I can't get pregnant. Don't think they will do much tomorrow but its a start.
I hope you get the answers you'd like from Duo fertility.

Hi Ladies

Are you all still using DF? I''ve been using it for 4 months now so just waiting for my report to arrive. Hope it comes soon.

So DH and I have been TTC for 2 years now - we're both 33 and fit and healthy though I'm sure I could do with dropping a few lbs! We've had most of the tests done, we had one very bad SA but then DH started taking lots of vitamins, having acupuncture and we've cut out alcohol, caffeine and started eating much healthier and that's made a big difference cos his next SA was much better. All of my tests have been good so far but just waiting to have a HSG.

Anyhow I'd love to have some other DF ladies to share stories with.

Chat soon, :dust:

Hi,

I've been using DF now for almost 9 months (no moneyback guarantee for me) and tbh i'm disappointed. It tells me nothing that 3 years of charting didn't teach me and when I got my fertility report back, I had to laugh. I'm perfectly healthy aparrently - despite repeated medical tests telling me I'm nearly menopausal with high FSH levels and irregular cycles!

£500 wasted as far as i'm concerned.

hi girls, i have never posted anything before although i am an avid reader of all your stories. i started using duofertility monitor in Feb 2012 after trying to concieve with hubby since jan 2007, and have just completed 9 months contract with them. i just had to post something about duofertility as i was so disappointed with the service and the overall product. the customer advisor (supposed to be a fertiliy expert) that i was asigned started off well and emailed every few days with encouragement and tips etc. once they realised that duofertility was not going to work for me due to me irregular cycles and lack of ovulation they stopped emailing me and were very unhelpful and unresponsive when i asked for feedback. despite telling them all of my history and the fact that i dont always ovulate they still said duofertility would work for me when i first enquired about it. the information they followed up with in emails and the detailed fertility report must have been for someone else because it did not match my circumstances at all. they also claim to be new cutting edge technology yet i felt i was constantly getting them info from my doctors and taking OPK's which i could have done anyway without paying £500. stupidly i fell for he marketing and wanted it so badly despite not being able to afford the £500 outright so i took the 9 monthly payment option and so did not qualify for money back guarentee. just a word of warning, dorfertiltiy have access to the chart and i did notice some information that i recorded i.e. days of sexual intercourse, CM etc had been removed!!!! plus they move the ovulation 'green' days' all the time and if you dont have sex at least once during the green days you are ineligible for the money back guarantee!!!
rant over but definantely am not impressed ladies and i know all about the feelng of having no control from month to month and the hope that this may give you but believe me you will get just as much support and peace of mind taking OPK's on daily basis than using this product.
thanks for listening, baby dust to all xx
