Anyone volunteered at a hospital before?

I have applied for a voluntary position at the local hospital on the maternity reception desk & I was just wondering if anyone has done this before?

I have no idea what to expect, i'm just hoping I get through application process!

Also if one of your references business has closed down do I let the person who's looking at my application know?
