Hi all

Bit of a mish mash of problems so i'll try not to ramble.

I usually have high blood pressure which tends to rise in pregnancy it has in last pregnancy and this one. But early this week it dropped alot and yesterday I collapsed.

Now it was a bit undecided whether it was a vasovagl (sp) attack where blood pressure dropped (was low when paramedics tested it) under 40 I was too out of it to know exact measurement, but to complicate this my blood sugars also dropped to around 3 I was giving hypostop which had a small affect and then food and it came back up.

So now I today im having very weird woozy feelings i've eaten well and not been sick since ive eaten (I sufferevomiting all the time) so I dont know is I should ring the maternity ward for advise, wait and book and appointment at the docs etc I just dont want to end up out cold in a shop with police and paramedics surrounding me.

So has anyone got similar problems and got any advice?

Thanks girls

Aaaww, I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling fab. I've got a complete mishmash of problems too and I feel like all I do is moan. It can feel scary, sometimes as though I am waiting for something bad to happen to me just to prove that I wasnt feeling good. I've got high blood pressure, spd, possibly diabetes, itchy hands and feet, breathless, heart is racing..i just feel like rubbish.
Trust your instincts, if you dont feel good enough then call your midwife. I hope you're okay. x

I have been diagnosed with Hyperemisis which is excessive vomiting in pregnancy, and that makes you feel like crap, also i normally suffer high blood pressure but have been normal and low since falling pregnant, which the dr's are putting down to the hyperemisis...

My bp and blood sugar always drop during pregnancy (except with first...i had pre e!) I also get terrible palpatations and have been told its just sinus tachycardia and a normal anomally. the blood sugar issue effects me the worst...every morn it is 1.9 then it only ever rises to 4 after a big meal so i run at about 2.9 3 most days, but they havent done anything about it, just tell me to eat more...grapes are great for keeping blood sugar up. My partner is type one so i monitor mine frequently. I defo think that combined with droping bp could be causing no end of symptoms howver it is not necesarily going to be serious so llong as you learn when you feel faint and sit down. Always pester the maternity assessment unit if you feel something isnt right...its what they are there for! Hope you feel better sn chick! x x x x

I think most places only test for that if you have the classic itch symptoms.

Seen docs again and they think im exhausted and being sick and stress is making it worse. Bloos tests have all been fine. They have mentioned admitting me if I have any very persistent vomiting days or may admit after 24 weeks if I become too exhausted.

Hi again, I've had a glucose tolerance test now and I do have diabetes...boohoo. I feel so bad that I am doing this to my little girl. Cant get an appointment due to the bank holiday so have to wait 11 days until I can see a diabetes nurse so until then I havent got a clue what to eat, i am just eating things like bran flakes and pasta at the moment.

I dont think you should have too many white carbs my dad as diabetes and he cant over eat on things like white bread and pasta. He cut down fried foods and doesn't use sugar and avoids cakes, chocolate and sweets.
